Chemistry: Second-Year Courses
The Physical Sciences Department at Takoma Park/Silver Spring
offers the following courses for students who are taking college
chemistry courses at the second-year level.
Courses Offered:
CH 203 Organic Chemistry I
The first semester of a second-year chemistry course covering the
basic concepts of organic chemistry. This course is taken by
biology and chemistry majors, as well as students wanting to enter
many health programs, such as medical, pharmacy, physical therapy,
veterinary, and optometry. (Refer to transfer requirements.)
CH 204 Organic Chemistry II
The second semester of a second-year chemistry course covering the
basic concepts of organic chemistry. This course is required for
biology and chemistry majors; some pre-professional students are
required to have both organic chemistry courses. (Refer to
transfer requirements.)
