It is designed to provide you with the education and credentials
you need to transfer to a four-year institution or advance in your
career.
Mental health workers are active in such fields as psychology, social
work, child welfare, health, family services, gerontology, criminal
justice, substance abuse, therapeutic recreation, education, and
homelessness, among others.
The rewards of such careers are as great as the challenges. Meetings
these challenges requires personal commitment, competence, and the
knowledge and skills obtained through professional education.
The Mental Health Associate Program at Montgomery College is dedicated
to providing students with the professional knowledge, values and
skills they need to begin a career in mental health/human services.
This program emphasizes a generalist approach to practice, enabling
graduates to work with individuals, families, groups, and communities
in a variety of human services settings.
