Dr. Stephen Cain currently serves as the Interim Instructional Dean at the Takoma Park/Silver Spring Campus.  He oversees the departments of Biology, Mathematics, Physical Sciences, and Business, Management, & Information Sciences (BMIS).  Dr. Cain has extensive experience as a faculty member and as an administrator in all of the disciplines in NASBMIS.  He has a Master's degree in Chemistry and a Ph.D. in Curriculum and Instruction/Science Education. He was a Chemistry faculty member for over seven years.  As a faculty member, Dr. Cain was active in faculty governance and chaired the Germantown Faculty Council as well as the College's General Education Committee. Dr. Cain has served as Dean in four units prior to his present assignment:  the collegewide Information Technoloy Institute; the Community Education and Extended Learning Services unit in Workforce Development & Continuing Education; and interim roles at the Rockville and Germantown Campuses. Dr. Cain also served as Acting Vice President of Workforce Development & Continuing Education.
