Learning Communities at Montgomery College | |||
|
Learning Communities (also known as Paired Courses) are optional - nobody is required to take a paired course. However, if you need to take two specific courses, there are many advantages to taking them together in a paired course. The course material and lessons make sense together. Your professors work as a team, so they can help and advise you better. Since all the students in a paired course take the two classes together, you can feel like part of a real community of friends and learners. What students have said after taking paired courses at Montgomery College: "It provided a great way to interact with people a lot more and learn things that I like. " "In many ways I have found these paired courses very interesting. Each course helped [the] other course. It became complementary." "I think I learned more, because we could practice the reading skills with another class at the same time." "This class was great, hope to take another one like this one." |
