Photoshop Introduction for the PC User CMP863
This course is an introduction to Adobe Photoshop. Learn to modify images, define image properties, work with selections, layers, and colors, make tonal / color adjustments, adjust image lightness and darkness, resize images, repair image flaws using the clone tools, healing brushes, and red-eye tool, and use various tools and brushes.
Prerequisites: Computer Basics, and Windows Introduction or equivalent experience.

Books may be purchased at the MC Bookstore or online. You will need to know the CMP#(Continuing Education classes) for the class you are taking in order to look up information about the textbook.
Technology update: Please bring a Flash Drive/Memory Stick 512MB or larger to class which will enable you to save your class work.

Course Content
- Become familiar with the toolbar, and palettes, and Adobe Bridge
- Learn to enhance and repair photos
- Make corrections to lightness, darkness, tone and color
- Repair image flaws using various tools such as the healing brush, red-eye tool, the clone tool and brushes, Levels, and Blending Modes
- Use the selection tools, text, and layer effects to resize, cut, copy, and combine pictures into a composite image.
