TechLEAP/WebLEAP is a computer career training and retraining program in Information Technology, with internship placements for experience. See the Admissions Page for a step-by-step guide on applying for TechLEAP.   

TechLEAP trains graduate students with college degrees. Training sequences include:

Students may have bachelors and masters degrees in the sciences, engineering, or "liberal arts" disciplines.  See admissions requirements.

Students are placed in paid internships and employment opportunities during and after the second semester. Learn about our TechLEAP students.

  • One hundred percent (100%) of TechLEAP’s  Fall 2007 and Spring 2008 students who completed at least two semesters found new IT employment, received promotions, or were placed by the program in paid internships and jobs. 
  • Ninety-seven percent (97%) of TechLEAP graduates have been placed in area internships and jobs 2006-2008,
  • Ninety-two percent (92%) of all TechLEAP graduates have been placed since 2002. 

Classes & Course Scheduling:

Courses.  Except for the optional Portfolio Building course Wednesday mornings, all TechLEAP courses are in the evening, usually 6:30 – 9:30 p.m., with Saturday classes generally scheduled 9:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. There may be options to take some TechLEAP courses during the daytime, subject to scheduling.

TechLEAP Admissions Summary

Information Sessions/Practice Test. Attend an Information Session & take the aptitude test = info session free; test=$15.  See the Significant Dates page for Information Session dates.

Study Algebra for Aptitude Test. Study algebra starting now using www.algebasics.com or similar online tutorial or algebra practice books from Barnes & Noble, Borders, bookstores.  for the July 14 Aptitude test for aptitude in the computer sciences.  A four-hour test, very helpful to both you and us re counseling, aptitude for web or programming, networking, etc.  Cost is $35.

College Transcripts.  Order your college transcripts and have them sent to me in a sealed envelope.  You must have a college degree for admission.  If your transcript if from a college outside the U.S., see the Admissions page for details on obtaining a degree evaluation.
