EL, RD, EN, and SP Courses
Are you a Montgomery College student taking an English Language (EL), English (EL), Reading (RD) or Speech (SP) course? If you are, you can take advantage of a number of services at the Rockville Writing, Reading and Language Center.
If you are taking an EL course:
- You may be required to review exercise packets or other assignments with a grammar tutor in MT 020.
- You may be required to complete lab hours in the Grammar Lab in MT 020.
- You may get extra help from a grammar tutor in MT 020 during tutoring hours.
If you are taking an EN course:
- You may be required to review exercise packets or other assignments with a writing tutor in HU 002.
- You may be required to complete lab hours in the English & Grammar Lab in MT 020.
- You may get extra help from a writing tutor in HU 002 during tutoring hours.
If you are taking an RD course:
- You may be required to review assignments with a Reading tutor in HU 002 or MT 020.
- You may be required to complete lab hours in the Reading Lab in MT 020.
- You may be required to complete lab hours in the Reading Room in HU 002.
- You may get extra help from a Reading tutor in HU 002 or MT 020 during tutoring hours..
- You may practice your reading skills in the Reading Room (HU 002) or the Reading Lab ( MT 020) during tutoring hours.
If you are taking an SP course:
- You may be required to review exercise packets or other assignments with a writing tutor in HU 002.
- You may be required to complete lab hours in the Lab in MT 020.
- You may get extra help from a writing tutor in HU 002 during tutoring hours.
