This schedule below is provided for planning purposes, some of the classes may not yet be open for registration. Check our official class schedule for classes that are open for registration. Questions about registration may be addressed to the Customer Service Desk at  240-567-5188. Questions about the Driver Education Program may be addressed to the Safety Programs Director.
Accommodations for support services must be made to the Disability Support Services Disability Support Services office at least six weeks prior to the start date of course or support services may be delayed until the next course.

Driver Education SFT043

A parent or guardian must attend the first session with the student. Also students are required to bring their learners permit to the first class.

This is the MVA Maryland State Required Course, 30 hours classroom and 6 hours behind the wheel. *We try our best to conclude BTW session by course end, although we cannot guarantee it. BTW sessions are scheduled throughout the course, not necessarily the same day or time as the classroom sessions.

Driver Education - Learning Disabled SFT047

A parent or guardian must attend the first session with the student. Also students are required to bring their learners permit to the first class.
This is a special class for students with moderate learning disabilities. Additional documentation pertaining to the student's disability is required to ensure the student's suitability for this class. Call 240-567-1895 for more information.

Learner's Permit Preparation Classes SFT044

Preparing for the Maryland Learner Permit test can be challenging for many students, especially those with learning disabilities. This class is open to all, although it was designed specifically to support students with mild to moderate learning disabilities.

Teach Your Teen to Drive: The Critical 60 Method SFT048

Teach Your Teen to Drive: The Critical 60 Method SFT056. Driver's Ed teaches only the basics; the rest is up to you - including helping your teen meet the MVA's 60-hour driving practice requirement. This class gives you all the tips and strategies for teaching your teen to drive without driving both of you crazy! Visit critical60.org and click on "About" to learn more.
