Pathways to Success

Pathways to Success is a learning community offered by Montgomery College Workforce Development & Continuing Education. It is designed for students who have a reading score of 35 to 52 points on the Accuplacer Reading Test.

Pathways is a one-semester, noncredit program that includes an intense reading instruction course (PTS 007), a writing instruction course (PTS 008), and a life skills and career planning course (PTS 009). Students who complete the Pathways Program will be re-tested in Reading to determine their eligibility to continue on to college credit courses or noncredit options.

There is an eight week Pathways to Success accelerated program for students who meet the requirements. Talk to your counselor for more information. In addition to the regular academic year program, a summer session will be offered.

Students are encouraged to meet with a Pathways Counselor before the beginning of the semester. Pathways students who reside in Montgomery County, and who have graduated from high school are eligible to apply for a special Grant. Grant funds are limited, discuss your financial needs with a Pathways Counselor.
